Milling underfloor heating in Fermacell
Fermacell is a gypsum-fibre dry screed, often used on upper floors and in renovations. Milling in Fermacell calls for precision: the boards are relatively thin, so the milling depth must be exactly right.

Why mill in fermacell?
- Precision work — Exact milling depth matched to the board thickness.
- Lightweight system — Suitable for upper floors where weight matters.
- Low-dust — Direct extraction keeps your home clean.
- Fast warm-up — The thin build-up provides fast heat output.
Because Fermacell boards have a limited thickness, we always first assess whether milling-in is possible or whether an overlay system fits better. You'll get honest advice on this.
Fitting pre-milled Knauf and Fermacell boards
Prefer boards with the channels already milled in at the factory? We fit those too: we lay the pre-milled Knauf or Fermacell boards, place the 14 mm pipe in the channels, fit the manifold and connect everything. Handy on upper floors, wooden floors and renovations where build-up height is limited. Having us mill the boards ourselves is of course also possible — we advise what is most economical in your situation.
- Laying the boards, placing the pipe, fitting and connecting the manifold — all from one team.
- Suitable for wooden floors, upper floors and renovations with limited height.
- No drying time: the finishing floor can go on straight after fitting.
