Underfloor heating on studded panels
Studded panels are insulation boards with a grid of studs between which the underfloor heating pipe is pressed. No clips, no mesh: the panel insulates and holds the pipe in exactly the right place. The screed is then poured over it. A fast and tidy system for new builds, extensions and renovations that get a new screed.

Why choose studded panels?
- Insulation and fixing in one — the panel insulates downwards and clamps the pipe — no loose parts.
- Exact spacing — the stud grid sets the centre-to-centre spacing, giving perfectly even heat distribution.
- Fast and clean — the pipe is simply pressed in by foot; complex shapes and small rooms go quickly too.
- Sound and heat insulating — pleasant on upper floors and in apartments.
Studded panels give a higher build-up than the tacker system: the panel itself (usually 3 to 5 cm) plus the screed on top. Bear this in mind for doors and thresholds. We lay the panels, press in the pipe, fit the manifold and pressure-test the system before pouring. For an existing floor without a new screed, milling in is the smarter choice.
