Apeldoorn is a spacious town with many detached and semi-detached homes. Berg en Bos, De Parken and Kerschoten have the larger pre-war and 1930s houses, often with a wooden ground floor above a crawl space. We don't mill into the wood: we fit Fermacell or Knauf boards and mill the pipes into those. If a sand-cement floor was poured later, we simply mill into that.

De Maten, Zevenhuizen, Zuid and Osseveld-Woudhuis are the large 1970s–90s districts with a sand-cement screed on concrete. There milling is the fastest route to a warm floor: neat channels, pipe at 100 mm centres and the floor walkable again the same day. In apartments on the Deventerstraat or in the centre we find concrete floors — we mill those too, quoted individually.

Around Apeldoorn there is a lot of timber construction and new build (Zuidbroek, Groot Zonnehoeve). For new builds or extensions we lay the underfloor heating before the screed is poured: stapled onto the insulation, tied on mesh or on studded panels.
