Oosterbeek-Hoog and the avenues around the Utrechtseweg are full of villas and town houses from the early 1900s and the 1930s. On the ground floor we often find timber joists or a sand-cement floor added later. We don't mill into the wood itself: we fit Fermacell or Knauf boards and mill the pipes into those, so the characteristic floor height and the doors can simply stay. If there is already sand-cement, we mill straight into the floor.

In Oosterbeek-Laag, the Benedendorp and in Renkum and Heelsum there are many post-war homes from the 1950s to 80s with a sand-cement screed on concrete — the ideal floor to mill into. 16 mm pipe at 100 mm centres, neat channels at exact depth, and the floor stays at height. Apartments in Doorwerth and the newer districts often have a concrete or anhydrite floor; we mill those too, with adapted blades.

Many homes in the municipality of Renkum are spacious and easy to insulate, and switching to a heat pump is popular here. Milled-in low-temperature underfloor heating is the basis for that. We connect the manifold directly to the heat pump if you wish and balance the circuits on the flow meters.
